Death Jr. is a new action platforming game that seamlessly blends elements from first-person shooters with the exploration of a third-person platformer and serves up a large dose of intense gameplay and weapon heavy combat for the PSP handheld entertainment system. The game stars Death, Jr. (DJ), the teenage son of the grim reaper, who is armed with a mighty scythe, a family heirloom which serves as both a weapon and a unique platforming tool, along with an arsenal of guns and explosives.

DJ has a number of friends he hangs out with – Pandora, an obsessive compulsive goth girl who can’t put her hands on anything without trying to open it; Smith and Weston, a pair of brainiac twins conjoined at the head; Stigmartha, a girl who bleeds from her hands whenever she gets nervous; and the Seep, an armless, legless, foul-mouthed foreign exchange student in a vat.

On a field trip to the Museum of Supernatural History, this band of friends discovers a tantalizing box and, at the insistence of Pandora, opens it, unleashing Moloch, an ancient demon, and all of his minions into the world. DJ must overcome near insurmountable odds to save his friends and the world to keep from getting into some serious trouble with his dad.

A unique 3rd person-action game created exclusively for the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable), Dead Head Fred draws players into an original 1940’s inspired alternative universe where players will experience an innovative and refreshing twist on Action gameplay as they collect, upgrade and switch the heads of enemies on the fly to strategically fight enemies in a story of revenge and redemption. As private detective Fred Neuman, savagely murdered and then resurrected in a bizarre scientific experiment without his memory or his head, players embark on a quest for vengeance as they solve their own murder by using the severed heads of enemies to battle their way through challenging but bizarre environments. Each of the 9 different heads offer a unique gameplay mechanic as players utilize special tactics and puzzle-solving to strategically progress through the game. Players embark on missions and mini-games to increase powers and attacks by acquiring new heads and collect money to purchase more upgrades to battle malformed mutants, ghoulish gangsters, and maniacal mob bosses.

Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror combines a potent mix of riveting storylines with intricate gameplay that includes fierce melee attacks, brand new target lock and precision aiming systems, target and vision enhancements for day and night tactical operations, and high-tech weaponry. Together, they create a portable interactive entertainment experience that delivers an immersive single-player and online multiplayer experience utilizing both Ad Hoc and Infrastructure connectivity, and featuring four types of wireless multiplayer gameplay modes. Players are given a variety of choices allowing for the creation of unique gameplay, including three difficulty modes that monitor and adjust to skill level. Multiple control layouts also permit gamers to choose precision aiming at all times or enable the player to select a more classic style controller for easy play and target lock shooting.

Besides providing various choices in difficulty modes and control scheme layouts, other new gameplay elements have been introduced to the series in Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror. These include universal ammunition crates to replenish the arsenal for any weapon that is currently equipped, and snap-to- wall mechanics where players can maintain stealth when they choose, all while lining up shots before risking exposure to enemy fire. Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror’s realistic look is attributed to a multitude of technologies, including “rag doll physics” where Gabe and enemies react realistically to blast damage and other types of attacks, highly detailed texture and dirt maps and improved goggle effects. Character models are built with detail and realism and feature animations for covert moves, knife kills and contextual specific scenarios. Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror also features GameShare, allowing users to share a dedicated single-player level of the game with other PSP users who don’t already own the game.

Konami decides to take another stab at randomly-generated level-making on the PSP with a sequel to its futuristic first-person-shooter Coded Arms.

Coded Arms is a visually stunning first-person shooter that places the gamer in the role of a computer hacker who infiltrates an abandoned virtual reality system. Players will fight through various virtual battlefields against multiple types of enemies with more than 30 different weapons at their disposal. The game will also utilize the platform’s wireless capabilities for intense multiplayer action. Coded Arms will be one of the PSP handheld system’s premiere titles!

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops delivers the series’ trademark stealth action to the PSP system while introducing several new elements that add even more depth and variety to Big Boss’ latest mission. As players progress through the single-player campaign of Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, they will be able to recruit comrades to create an original fighting force. In addition to enemy soldiers, players can also recruit unique and rare non-player characters (NPCs) depending on their action in certain situations, building an armed force suited to their personal style of play. Each character will have a unique rating based on a sequence of personal attributes. Depending on the rating of the character, they will either excel or be deficient in a variety of combat skills, giving the player the ability to outfit their squadron with characters that fit the need of each particular situation.
